I use Signal for encrypted messaging and phone calls. Download it here: https://signal.org/.
You can create a new message and search my username, owenab.314, to contact me or go to this link to start a new conversation with me: https://signal.me/#eu/AfNGhsJAZvTCuzm4yj5d9vXrPv8kZC8rgYA46xSuYbjwc3o9Fo9K3Z-QFnstLpdm.
Signal will keep a record of when you set up an account and what phone number you've used, which can be sensitive information. Signal no longer automatically shares your phone number with people you message; make sure you set a username to use this feature. Read more: https://signal.org/blog/phone-number-privacy-usernames/.
ProtonMail automatically end-to-end encrypts emails and attachments between ProtonMail addresses. ProtonMail cannot read your emails or hand them over to third parties. My address is: owenaustonbabcock (at) protonmail (dot) com.
If you don't have a ProtonMail account, your email should be automatically TLC encrypted while it's in-transit and will be zero-access encrypted by ProtonMail. It is not end-to-end encrypted, however, and might be accessible to your email service. You can send end-to-end encrypted emails to my ProtonMail account by using a browser extension and entering my public PGP encryption key below.
I suggest using Mailvelope to encrypt from a non-ProtonMail account. It's free for individual users and is relatively easy to set up. Just import my public key below and draft a message by clicking the Mailvelope logo in your webmailer (e.g. Gmail). You will need to authorize access to Gmail API before you can send a message.
In your message, please tell me a passcode to unlock my response. ProtonMail external emails are password protected.
You can download a .asc file containing my public PGP encryption key here: https://mail-api.proton.me/pks/lookup?op=get&search=owenaustonbabcock@protonmail.com.
Or, copy my key to your clipboard by clicking this button:
