Editorial intern
I was a full-time, albeit temporary, general assignment reporter for this trade publication covering the public radio and TV industry — from policy and legal cases to news programs and community engagement. For my capstone enterprise story, I performed a wide-ranging data analysis of those who serve on the industry’s hundreds of governing boards. Relied upon public records, web scraping in Python and the Census Bureau’s API. Found that most boards across the system fail to represent their communities.
